Eaton Corporation Internship: Custom Order Engineering Specialist (16-month) - Milton, ON, Canada in Milton, Ontario

What you’ll do:

Eaton is seeking an Intern- Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering team for a 16-month term. The Engineering Intern will be based in Milton, Ontario.

Position Overview:

This position will work closely with Custom Order Product Specialists, creating/updating as-built ACAD-Electrical drawings, improving/enhancing front end tools (MS Suite). In addition, the position will support on Design Automation projects and Mechanical Design Team ' s Continuous Improvement activities.

Essential functions:

  • Creating/updating ACAD-Electrical drawings and supporting Engineering Department on related activities.

  • Leading & assisting with improvements to databases (MS Access) and MS Suite Tools.

  • Actively participating in plant wide lean activities.

  • Supporting Engineering Department with cost improvements and quality initiatives.

  • Complete other duties/projects as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in and returning to college or University degree program in Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Intermediate/ advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • This position does not offer relocation.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or co-op experience.

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with ACAD Electrical and Microsoft applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects, in a manufacturing environment.

  • Good analytical/problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
