GENESIS 10 Mechanical Engineer in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a permanent roleworking for a school system in the Milwaukee, WI area. Summary:Provides engineering support to review, design, troubleshoot, manage and inspect current and proposed mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the Schools system. Assists in the coordination of design efforts of outside consultants with in-house personnel. Maintain client\'s database of all mechanical and utility services. Essential Functions/ Core Competencies: Assists in managing the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception to completion. Assists in the development of scope and budget for Capital and School funded MEP projects. Reviews construction documents for compliance with standards and scope. Assists in coordinating consultant activities to assure scope is adequately identified. Assists in the preparation of construction documents for MEP systems in AutoCAD. Assists in the preparation of proposals for pre-purchasing major MEP equipment. Directs trade shop inspectors to assure construction standards are met. Assists in resolving field conflicts with contractors, consultants, existing conditions and construction documents. Provides input for other District initiatives, such as additions, remodelings, etc. Makes recommendations relative to changes in existing methods and procedures related to MEP activities. Provides input for procedures and methods for solution of indoor air quality issues as a member of \' Indoor Client\'s Air Quality Committee. Assists in the development and implements overall energy budget and strategy for the District. Assists in preparing energy analysis and provide recommendations for district energy conservation efforts. Assists in developing and maintaining master MEP guide specifications and information database. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Requirements: Bachelors of Science degree, preferably in mechanical and plumbing engineering, from a school approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), with an emphasis in the design and application of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for educational/commercial buildings. Registration as a professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin is required. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver\'s license and provide a properly insured automobile for use on the job. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in design, developing specifications, cost estimating, planning and construction, inspection and project management related to mechanical and plumbing systems. Experience Requirements: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the operation of an AutoCAD work station and Microsoft Office Software programs and spreadsheets.
