TKDA Professional Engineer Civil Traffic in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

Our Traffic group is growing so we are in search to hire a Professional Engineer, Civil - Traffic! We are seeking a professional who currently resides in the Milwaukee or Madison WI area. This is a remote position to support ongoing projects that are focused in Minnesota. Travel to HQ will be required for specific team meetings and projects. Travel will be kept to 10-15% in a year. We are hoping to find a passionate Traffic Engineer who would be open to exploring opportunities for TKDA to build a portfolio of Traffic services / projects within the WI market. Responsibilities Lead traffic related design and plan development (roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting). Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software. Create production of plans, specifications and cost estimates. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians generating safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for the Department of Transportation, local agencies, and design-build contractors. Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering A minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months of employment. Experience or interest in projects related to design and/or plan development for roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting. Strong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write descriptive and technically accurate specifications and reports; Ability to participate in or lead project team meetings and client consultations. Preferred Qualifications PTOE Certification or interest in attaining PTOE Certification Previous Design-Build experience. Previous experience in developing and evaluating transportation system and corridor alternatives. Previous experience with traffic operations analysis, forecasting, and modeling. Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.).
