The ideal candidate for this role will have a background and understanding of the operations and standards specific to organizations reporting under Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements, as well as a deep knowledge of professional standards, Government Auditing Standards, Uniform Guidance and generally accepted accounting principles and reports to the Managing Principal of National Assurance. How you'll create opportunities in this role: Interact and collaborate with others across all levels of the Firm and on occasion with clients Perform the quality control review of assurance engagements Analyze observations and findings, perform root cause analysis, and proactively collaborate to develop process improvements Be a technical resource for engagement teams assisting in research and consultation for the application of professional standards and generally accepted accounting principles, Assist in development and maintenance of assurance methodology and practice aids for implementation of new standards and related learning, Develop thought leadership for internal and external users Qualifications for this role: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent CPA or equivalent Current on professional standards, Government Auditing Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Uniform Guidance Problem solver and solution provider Superior verbal and written communication skills Solid analytical and decision-making skills Ability to communicate complex concepts to engagement teams and clients Ability to use various assurance research products effectively #LI-MFD1 Equal Opportunity Employer /AA Employer/Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
