Position: Under the supervision of the Food Programs Supervisor, the Food Logistics Coordinator will provide a welcoming experience to volunteers and guests while maintaining a culture of respect and dignity. The coordinator will receive and record donations, unload incoming and outgoing inventory, stock and track inventory levels, and fill orders for emergency and routine distributions. In addition, this position will be responsible for food rescue. This position will greet guests and assist with their shopping experience, as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, required, with three to five years of inventory control/stocking experience in a food shelf, warehouse or grocery environment. Minimum two years of customer services experience in a food shelf, warehouse, grocery environment with the ability to be friendly, patient and professional when interfacing with all guests of the Food Shelf, required. ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Comfortable operating a manual and electric pallet jack (training will be provided). Certification of forklift and pallet jack required within 6 months of hire. Ability to meet physical demands of regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds or more. This includes, but is not limited to boxes, pallets and food shelf donations. Valid Driver's License, current insurance and the ability to meet NorthPoint's driving requirements and capable of driving a mid-size truck. Experience working in a team-oriented environment, including working with volunteers. Must possess demonstrated ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic, cultural backgrounds, ages and economic circumstances. One year experience working in Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as experience working in database tracking system. Bilingual in English and Spanish/Hmong/Somali preferred. Ability to work flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends, required.
