Grow your career in Minneapolis! We're seeking a laborer / torch cutter for a locally-owned company that has had a strong presence in the city for over 50 years. This laborer / torch cutter role is a Monday - Friday opportunity with the potential for overtime. Location: Minneapolis, MN Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday Wage: $23 - $24/hr. Benefits of the laborer / torch cutter: PTO Paid sick days and holidays Medical, dental, life, and short and long-term disability 401(k) package Annual reviews Bonuses based on performance Duties of the laborer / torch cutter: Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and front loader Torch and cut scrap metal to size using an oxygen/natural gas torch Perform equipment inspections to ensure it's in good working order Assist with facility clean-up and maintenance Qualifications of the laborer / torch cutter: Knowledge of metals is preferred Previous torching experience in processing scrap Knowledge of equipment function and proper usage technique: oxy-propane gas assembly, 4'-5'-6' torches, safety functions and procedures Previous experience with material handling equipment Work outdoors Sit, stand, bend, and/or twist for long periods of time Lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance Additional information: Apply today!
