This person analyzes processes, gathers data, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives. The Manager acts as a thought partner with business leadership to select, scope and prioritize CI initiatives and provides leadership, mentoring and training to employees and stakeholders on the use and practice of the CI methodologies and tools to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives. Projects can range in duration and complexity from quick analyses to large scale transformative efforts. The Manager and their team use an array of analytical, technical, and consulting skills, including Lean Six Sigma, change management, time and motion studies, statistical data analysis, and model development and validation. The CI Team focuses on performance and constantly strive to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce defects. Primary: Lead projects ranging in duration and complexity from quick analyses to large scale transformative efforts Utilize an array of analytical, technical, and consulting skills, including Lean Six Sigma, change management, time and motion studies, statistical data analysis, and model development and validation Establish healthy working relationships with other departments' personnel Lead projects in conjunction with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data, develop improvements and innovations Establish a template for Employee Involvement Teams (EITs) Coaching project team members on their development Developing and managing business leader relationships and working closely with them throughout the project life cycle Leading and organizing large, cross-departmental groups through complex and strategic workshops Create project plans and documentation considering resources, task priority, risks, and dependencies Develop and deliver story and presentations for report outs independently Use subject matter and professional experience to manage the development and implementation of new projects and opportunities, and apply analytical rigor and process optimization to solve critical business problems Secondary: Project Management experience Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner comp ying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines. Any other tasks assigned by the Sr. Director Engineering Supervisory responsibility: Management, direction, and supervision of Continuous Improvement Departmental staff Classification:Full-time, Exempt Working Location:Minneapolis, MN The qualifications we are looking for in the Manager Continuous Improvement: College degree and/or five (5) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in diverse (multiple business areas) continuous improvement portfolio implementation 2+ years of related experience Completion of multiple cross functional projects using Lean Six Sigma Ability to apply advanced Lean principles or advanced Six Sigma principles to process improvement Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Applications) Excellent organizational, mathematical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership ability in a changing business environment Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Strong influencing skills Strong conflict resolution skills Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration Aviation degree with related experience Three (3) or more years of experience in continuous improvement Green Belt and Black Belt training experience Experience using Microsoft Power BI Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
