As the Minnesota Student Survey Specialist in the Data Practices and Analytics division, you will be the recognized cross-agency expert of the Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) and will lead the execution of the large-scale triennial survey. Duties will include:
Coordinating the development, administration and analysis of the Minnesota Student Survey;
Provide training and technical assistance for local districts to ensure their capacity to implement and use the Minnesota Student Survey data processes and procedures during the administration and dissemination phases;
Conduct quantitative analysis to support programs and policy, and to create data visualizations and reports; and
Participate in MSS data governance structures to create policies, make recommendations and adopt decisions regarding the future of the MSS.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of professional experience in data management, analysis or program evaluation
OR
A bachelor's or master's degree and 4 years of professional experience in data management, analysis or program evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, STATA)
Experience with a survey platform (e.g., Alchemer, Qualtrics)
Experience providing training and/or technical assistance
Experience designing, administering and analyzing surveys
Experience with health, public safety or education data
Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with verbal and written communication with school districts and/or parents
Experience providing customer service
