The project focuses on addressing fundamental problems with types in type-unsafe programming languages like C/C++ and then using the improved type system for various security applications. The resulting system is expected to protect real-world C/C++ programs such as the Android kernel, FireFox browser, PHP, OpenSSL, etc. Qualifications Qualifications Required Qualifications: PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field Strong familiarity with computer security and software engineering Familiarity with operating systems and machine learning Experience in program analysis using LLVM Strong publication record in computer security, e.g., IEEE S&P, ACM CCS, USENIX Security, and NDSS Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience in program analysis, system building, and AI Strong written and oral communication skills Brief Description of Position: We are looking for one postdoc who is interested in working on a project funded by the National Science Foundation. (33%) Contribute to academic publication and research demonstration.
