About the role: CLA is looking to hire an Assistant Controller for our Consulting and Outsourcing practicewhich can work anywhere in the U.S. and is 100% remote. Our Consulting and Outsourcing practice helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs. As an Assistant Controller, you will: Perform Assistant Controller functions as part of the client's accounting services team. Be accountable for identifying and implementing best practices related to the services provided to add value to the client. Analyzes and interprets financial information that client leaders need to make sound business decisions. Independently prepare financial statements. Records and analyzes client's financial information. Prepares financial reports for other groups (creditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities, and more). Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, prepares budgets, schedules expenditures, analyzes variances, and initiates corrective actions when necessary. What you will need: Four years relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required. Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of nonprofit accounting strongly preferred. Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred. Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.
