Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this role will involve performing a range of accounting tasks, including grant accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, audit, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct grant accounting and ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Prepare and record accurate journal entries

• Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting

• Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely completion

• Work with NetSuite or similar accounting software for various tasks

• Participate in system implementation projects as needed

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards

• Participate in audit activities and collaborate with auditors

• Leverage strong business acumen to support financial decision-making processes. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role, preferably in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

• Strong proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Extensive experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analyses and reporting.

• Experience with month-end close processes.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

• Previous involvement in system implementation.

• Proven ability to prepare financial statements.

• Prior experience with audit processes.

• Knowledge of grant accounting is highly desirable.
