Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Staff Nurse RN (0.8 FTE) - GI Diagnostic Lab in Minneapolis, Minnesota

*SUMMARY:*

We are currently seeking a part-time Staff Nurse to join our GI Diagnostic Lab team. This role will work at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis.

This position is part-time (0.8 FTE, 8 shifts per pay period) working Monday-Friday day hours and includes weekend call and overnight call rotation.

*RESPONSIBILITIES* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

  • Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
  • Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
  • Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
  • Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
  • Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
  • Educating patient on their disease process
  • Assuring continuity of care
  • Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

_QUALIFICATIONS:_ Minimum Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * ICU experience - current or within the last 5 years * ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in area of clinical specialty * GI experience preferred * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
