Your Impact

The Operations Manager will provide leadership, direction and hands-on involvement while managing personnel and processes involved in areas of responsibility. The Operations Manager is responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our processes and systems in support of strategic and policy deployment objectives. They will also lead the day-to-day operating activities along with production capacity planning, capital project justification, risk analysis, and support for new product/process introductions.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

· Plans, directs, and supervises day to day operations in manufacturing.

· Develop continuous improvement in manufacturing procedures and productivity using lean manufacturing tools.

· Ensure safety, quality, on time delivery, training, and productivity in the manufacturing department.

· Responsible for creating and maintaining product Value stream future and current state maps.

· Establish performance standards and objectives for the manufacturing team that align with achieving site and future state goals.

· Develops and implements an annual operating plan including Kaizen opportunities, capital plan, productivity projects and production department budget.

· Scale the FBS culture and drive positive engagement through ongoing development and managing of sensors supervisor, team leaders, and operators.

· Lead Daily, weekly, and monthly Gemba reviews to drive alignment and focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

· Oversee product acceptance by Manufacturing, released from Product Engineering.

· Present status reports, root cause analysis and action plans to senior management.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

· Minimum 3-year Technologist Diploma from a recognized community college in Electronics, Manufacturing, Power Electricity, or other relevant discipline. Engineering diploma preferred.

· Extensive experience working in a related manufacturing environment including 5 years in a management or supervisory role with hiring responsibilities.

· Demonstrated leadership qualities, organizational abilities and capable of planning and monitoring work in progress in a manufacturing facility.

· Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes with preferences for assembly, injection molding, SMT production, CNC, plating and / or machining.

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and quality principles and tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, control charts, and other quality methodologies).

· Ability to do presentations with the leadership team.

· Experience with high voltage equipment, Oracle MRP or other MRP is preferred.

Physical Demands:

· Works in office setting with periods in a clean shop setting.

· Occasional exposure to potential injuries from power tools.
