Role: Shipping Associate

Your Impact

· Efficiently pack products using warehousing equipment, such as pallet jacks or hoists.

· Generate and secure shipping paperwork and labels for each shipment

· Receive material in Oracle and generate shipping paperwork accurately and promptly

· Manage shipping inventory, ensuring it is moved and stored in the designated area in the warehouse

· Back up in shippers’ absence.

· Order necessary supplies for shipping department.

· Maintaining a safe work environment and taking part in regular cleaning and maintenance.

· Meet customer order specifics in a timely manner.

· Operating warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

· Create labels and attach shipping related documents including dangerous goods forms, CERS, Certificates of Origin, USMA Certificates, Commercial Invoices, Packing Slips, Bill of Lading, etc.

· Contact freight forwarder and determine best way to ship in terms of delivery time and cost.

· Track all shipments until they reach their destination.

· Maintain a comprehensive shipping tracking sheet.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

· Detail-oriented.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.

· Physical capability to perform basic tasks such as lifting up to 50lb.

· Experience in a warehouse setting and familiarity with shipping software like Oracle can also be beneficial (https://resumecat.com/career/packer/skills)

· A high school qualification or equivalent is required, along with physical strength and stamina (https://www.betterteam.com/packer-job-description)

· Experience with domestic and international shipping.

· Fluency in English
