Description

Robert Half has partnered with a great client that is seeking a part time Human Resources Manager to join their team. The main functions of this position are to maintain and develop the elements of an effective new hire onboarding training program, to recruit new hires, and to track employee performance. The Human Resources Manager position, located in Mobile, Alabama, is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

  • Maintain employee database records

  • Oversee benefit enrollment for new employees during onboarding process

  • Enforce and comply with established company policies and regulations

  • Provide opportunities for employee training and professional development throughout the year in both required training topics and elective training for professional development

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Regularly and proactively, engage with all employees, especially production staff

  • Serve as administrator for the automated payroll system and HR information system (HRIS)

  • Serve as administrator for the performance evaluation software, including coordination of employee performance reviews

  • Manage compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws regarding recruitment

  • Manage and track employee compensation

    Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Prior human resources experience

• Experience providing direction and leading a team

• Interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups

• Strong problem solving, communication (oral and written), relationship building, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of and respect for confidentiality
