ATI is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer to support our Monaca, PA location.
This position will work with the existing maintenance team to maintain the current equipment capacity and help improve or install new equipment to increase capacity, improve quality and/or improve safety and reliability of equipment.
Essential Functions
Help manage the day to day maintenance activities including supervising technicians and contractors and overseeing the workflow database.
Source critical spares for major operating units. Suggest new designs for eliminating obsolescence
Manage Major Maintenance and Capital Projects
Create specifications for new equipment
Present project plans to upper management for funding
Work with procurement to elect successful bidders
Reward contracts for successful bidders
Manage projects from conception to installation, commissioning and training.
Participate in completion of maintenance items that are identified by the plant safety committee
Work with technicians and operators to optimize the process control and automation of the various production units
Work closely with electric utility companies on electrical matters.
Monitor plant electrical maintenance work to ensure that it conforms to safety and code requirements.
Consult with management of problems and process improvement objectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electrical Technology Engineering discipline.
Experience in a manufacturing environment in the field with electrical design and/or projects (years required depending on progression level).
Computer working knowledge with Microsoft Office - (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to adapt to job related systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written with internal and external customers at all levels.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
Ability to lead, train and be a team play following all company policies, union contracts and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently with high motivation and organization capabilities.
Possess excellent mathematical reasoning abilities in order to comprehend and apply engineering principles.
Prefer knowledge of process controller installation, electronic systems, control instruments, maintenance and programming techniques.
