ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Assist in the movement of scrap from various departments to Raw Materials revert area.

  • Accumulate solid by-products (grindings, swarf, etc.) for shipment to outside processors.

  • Schedule truckload shipments to and from processors.

  • Load and unload trucks to and from processors.

  • Generate packing lists and bills of lading for shipments.

  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Check all scrap dumpsters and call in when needed to be processed.

  • Check Mixed skull dumpsters and call in when needed to be processed.

  • Alloy ID material that comes from Melt shop (Spares) and other departments to put in inventory.

  • Manage inventory for department 216.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Assist charge clerk, scrap sorter, VIM personnel, etc. and other duties as assigned

  • Required to maintain Industrial Mobile Equipment (IME) license.

  • Over 6 and up to 9 months experience

  • Prior fork truck operations is desirable

  • Work from charge sheets, use weigh scales.

  • Make simple use of formulas.

  • Maintain ordinary records

  • Prepare charge cards.
