Sales Representative, Mexico

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a qualified Sales Representative in the Monterrey , Mexico region to join our International Sales team. The Sales Representative is responsible for all aspects of sales and service within Mexico, with some possible additional Latin America travel. The Sales Representative will maintain and expand the sales of Allied Mineral Products and provide a high level of customer support within Mexico and will work with our current Mexican sales team.

Key Duties:

  • Develop relationships with current and potential customers.

  • Promote, introduce, demonstrate, and obtain orders for Allied products. Provide technical recommendations and educate our customers and distributors.

  • Provide follow-up regularly on competitive activity, product performance and pricing with the Allied through our written reporting procedures.

  • Work with our existing Mexican and Latin American sales team.

  • Service all accounts as needed, including installation support, trouble-shooting, and introduction of new products, etc.

  • Make the necessary calls on existing customers, potential customers, and cold calls to maximize sales, including completion and submission of call reports in a timely fashion. It is important to make sure this information is transmitted clearly and accurately.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience desired.

  • Experience in the refractory, foundry, or aluminum industry.

  • Requires solid communication skills.

  • The ability to communicate in English.

  • Must be willing to travel as needed throughout designated territories.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, internally and externally, with co-workers, partners and customers.

  • Must have a practical approach to problem solving and be able to work well with engineers and operators to resolve issues related to products and processes. ability to learn quickly.

  • Must be comfortable operating in factories and industrial environments.

  • Must demonstrate a high level of energy and be self-motivated.

  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications.

  • Must possess a US Visa or be willing and able to obtain one.

Working Environment

  • Work out of home-based office.

  • Often working in heavy industry locations.

  • Required to wear appropriate PPE per Allied’s Safety & Health policy and any additional customer site specific requirements.
