ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

BUSINESS: Polaris Off-Road Vehicles (ORV):

LOCATION: Plant 2 Polaris Monterrey

DIRECT REPORTING: Warehouse Senior Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

This position supervises, trains, develops, and holds workgroups responsible for safety, and attendance. He/She sets and maintains high standards for account productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. This position provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily management of the people, processes and tools needed for warehousing products and initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets, and keeps leadership informed of progress in meeting schedules and overall goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation

  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, development, and motivation of assigned personnel.

  • Monitor and perform periodic audits on all procedures, controls and maintain a constant awareness of status, providing alternate plans in the event of unforeseen contingencies, including, but not limited to, work stoppages, material shortages, material rejections, new priorities, and related problems or adjustments.

  • Manage labor costs through creative and effective daily FTE management with proper formulas based on volume

  • Monitor productivity and quality standards of all warehouse employees, assuring adherence to guidelines.

  • Initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets

  • Analyze department workload and schedule requirements to develop execution plans, including manning and support personnel requirements and resource planning

  • Communicate objectives, status and other issues as necessary, i.e. regular scheduled team meeting, shift starts and ends, along with shift handover activities

  • Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals

  • Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the warehouse operation

  • Maximize the utilization of warehouse resources while ensuring the expected level of customer satisfaction is met or exceeded.

  • Make and implement continuous improvement, digitalization & automation recommendations.

  • Responsible for the security of the warehouse. Enforce proper use of entrances and exits.

  • Maintain facility equipment and grounds in good operating condition and appearance.

  • Other activities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 4-6 years in planning/supply chain · Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and related systems

  • Problem Solving: ability to identify problems as they arise, gather quantitative and qualitative data, and bring forth a recommendation toward a solution

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions are normal for a distribution and office environment.

  • Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds. Equipment operation requires specialized training and testing within Polaris’ standards.

  • Must be able to balance many demands simultaneously.
