Fruit of the Loom, Inc. Technical Maintenance/ Electrical and Troubleshooting Skills required and basic PLC knowledge a plus in Montgomery, Alabama
Position Summary
This position is a level 3 maintenance employee. Observes and examines complex, specialized
equipment and parts to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs. Completes preventative
maintenance of facility equipment.
Observe, dismantle and examine complex / specialized mechanical devicesand parts to identify and locate issues.
Examine parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determinechanges in dimensional requirements. Requires the use of rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
Repair and/or remove defective parts. May require the use hoists, ladders,hand tools, and power tools.
Read and interpret blueprint layouts, written instructions and repair manualsto complete assigned tasks.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. May require theuse of hand tools, levels, and straight edges.
Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricate and clean parts.
May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworkingtools to make and repair parts.
Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
Perform welding tasks as necessary.
Complete other tasks assigned by management.
Minimum Job Experience Required
1-2 years of maintenance related work experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in related field a plus.
Possess current driver’s license.
Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
Ability to follow complex instructions and use precision instruments. Basic knowledge of electronicequipment and testing devices.
This position is expected to complete required Craft Training Modules according to policy.
Ability to be on 24-hour call and provide own tools if required.
Specialized training in various areas of repair and maintenance a plus.
