At Jacobs we have roles for Mechanical Engineers with some experience of the following, at all levels including:

  • Knowledge of relevant drawing standards BS8888, BS5070 and BS EN 61082

  • Familiarity with CE Marking, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PED, Machinery’s Directive

  • Working knowledge of plant layout, set up, installation and alignment of plant and equipment and machinery for works test, integrated test and site installation

  • Developing and implementing engineering solutions for complex engineering projects, from concept design proposals through to design for manufacture, the full project life cycle

  • Mechanical handling experience

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE ROLES AT ALL LEVELS AND THESE ROLES COULD BE BASED OUT OF ANY JACOBS UK OFFICES

Here’s what you’ll need :

Previous experience of working within Industrial/Process/ Brown field sites is highly desirable though not essential providing that suitable similar experience can be demonstrated.

The candidate shall ideally have experience in a similar role and should ideally be qualified Degree/HNC/Incorporated/Chartered Engineer or be working towards gaining professional status. However experience at all levels will be considered.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Experience in the use of Auto desk inventor

  • Experience in production and checking of Design justification reports (DJRs)

  • Producing technical reports, technical specifications and scoping calculations

  • Reviewing technical deliverables, including reports and drawings

  • Identifying design, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contributing to risk assessments

  • Writing and checking O&M manuals
