Atlantic Health System Equipment Tech in Morristown, New Jersey
Working collaboratively with other equipment technicians in the department.
Stocking supplies
Maintaining adequate supply of pumps, oxygen, stretchers, hospital beds, and other specialized equipment
Cleaning of all equipment carts
Facilitating equipment repair
Taking soiled items/picking up needed supplies from Central.
Replacing used code carts
Coverage of the Main ED Department may occur.
Package and transport accumulated backboard to Receiving Dept. for shipment back to EMS agencies.
Order and retrieve supplies from Storeroom as needed.
Orient new hires to an overview of the position held by the Equipment/Supply
Trouble shoot and log faulty equipment and initiate repair with CED.
Retrieve repaired equipment from Clinical Engineering and deliver to proper ED Zone.
Interact with Strategic Sourcing Buyer for specifics on manufacturers, vendors, and status of various PO’s.
Maintain and remove stretchers from service when necessary.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Health Care background strongly preferred
Experience with ordering/stocking of department supplies preferred
BLS preferred
