Insight Global Financial Analyst in Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description

5+ years of experience working as a Financial Analyst (planning + reporting), preferably within in IT

 Support annual IT budget process, including investment and run rate cost analysis

 Understand project capital costs for capitalization and depreciation, support budget cycle updates, quarter close activities and gap analysis

 Strong Excel ability to track financial reporting in a uniform manner

o Nice to have Excel Skills: Power Pivot, Power Query, Excel Data Model

o Ability to handle large amounts of financial data from different sources and develop accurate analysis

o Ability to develop reusable Excel templates to collect and analyze data

 Ability to create dashboards related to forecasting, trend analysis and current budgets

 Diligent with high attention to detail

 Good communication, coordination, and facilitation skills

 Ability to get into the weeds but also summarize findings as appropriate to the given audience

 Ability to take the initiative to solve problems independently and consult with the direct manager when needed

 Fast learner and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

 Basic understanding of IT networking concepts (i.e., WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, access points, etc.)

Skills and Requirements

-Must have experience supporting a global IT organization + large initiative/portfolio

-Understanding of SAP, Ariba, project financial and budgeting systems or equivalent systems

-Ability to understand invoices and pull POs, including facilitating, monitoring, and tracking invoice and PO details with project stakeholders

-Ability to work with project stakeholders, procurement teams, and third party vendors to resolve invoice and PO issues (i.e., PO closure and devaluing, invoice mismatch, and tracking payment status as needed)

-Knowledge and ability to manage the Capital Assets In-Progress process (i.e., coordinating with fixed assets and PO owners to ensure asset statuses are captured (i.e., work completed, asset received, hardware assets entered in CMDB, etc.) for capital asset depreciation for assigned projects

-Expertise in Excel, creating formulas and designing/building trackers to manage finances

-Understanding of fundamental financial planning and analysis concepts, including rolling monthly/quarterly forecasting, variance analysis (actuals vs. budget, budget vs. monthly/quarterly rolling forecast, committed vs. uncommitted spend, etc.), adjusting forecast across workstreams or regions to balance the budget, impact of amortization, etc.

-Good understanding of IT financial drivers (i.e., labor, hardware, software, etc.), one-time and recurring cost, etc. null
