Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), User Consent, or Privacy and Security products.

Preferred qualifications:

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Google Home Platform Developer team's mission is to deliver to users the best smart home experience on Android, iOS and cross-surface (available on phones, tablets, web, TVs, watches, and displays). The Google Home Platform enables users to seamlessly set up, control, and automate the devices in their home, by empowering developers to easily build reliable, fast, and private experiences across the home.

As a Product Manager, you will help us build a clear, cohesive strategy for third-party Partner Identity and Permission management for Google Home control via partner products. You will work closely with Product Managers on the Google Home Platform team, cross-functional teams, and Google Identity teams to build the best experience for our users and partners.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work closely with cross-functional teams and various Google Home products to define the underlying Permissions model and principles for the Google Home Platform (GHP).

  • Design the user-facing permission and management workflows with the right balance of control and simplicity.

  • Build intelligent solutions for partners that holistically integrate partner use cases across multiple Google products.

  • Design a permission management system in the Smart Home space.

  • Explore and define requirements for Google Account Identifier beyond traditional methods.
