The Lead Support Administrator is an experienced support level role, responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to relieve Department Managers or Teams of administrative details.

This role acts as a team leader to junior resources within the team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced administrative support and administrative guidance.

  • Provide administrative assistance with electronic diaries and scheduling commitments to ensure maximization of the manager’s time efficiency, including the management of travel itineraries for domestic and international travel.

  • Provide administrative assistance by recording, producing and distributing minutes of management meetings and follow up on outstanding items.

  • Supports the preparation of meeting agendas, arrangement meeting logistics and facilities as required.

  • Draft routine letters and correspondence and prepares reports and statistical information ensuring distribution to the relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Provides assistance with the management of hard copy and electronic files and records and maintain an adequate filing system.

  • Supports flow of information to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provides assistance with maintaining office supply inventory and other additional supplies as needed.

  • Prepares, completes and distributes the routine management reports.

  • Prepares and creates presentations, spreadsheets and databases as required.

  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail and facsimile, by sorting and distributing to the relevant individuals.

  • Answers and screens telephone calls and respond to and resolve any queries or escalate complex queries to the relevant individual.

  • Provides team leader duties and activities as required.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Significant demonstrated working experience gained within a similar role.

  • Significant demonstrated experience in a related environment.

  • Demonstrated experience team leader experience.
