Nuveen Investments Senior Associate - SMA UX Designer in Mumbai, India
The Specialist UX Designer programs and configures software to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. Under limited supervision, this job identifies and analyzes business software needs, writes complex code to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's information technology (IT) user experience (UX) design infrastructure and conducts testing to ensure programs are functioning properly. This job is considered a subject matter expert in user design in the broader applications development and support area.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Interprets written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop advanced user experience design programming to meet business needs.
Collaborates with information technology (IT) and business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end-to-end user experiences.
Performs complex coding to create complex user experience (UX) programming and site design.
Tests the resulting coding components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans.
Investigates, analyzes and documents reported defects while raising issues as appropriate to make the user’s experience seamless and as efficient as possible.
Analyzes sites to debug errors that may exist and performs maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
Solves complex defects that arise through own work or the work of others.
Manages user design processes, along with guiding and mentoring lower level professionals on the intricacies of user experience.

Required Skills:
8+ Years of UX Design experience
Proficient in design tools like Figma, Balsamiq, Invision, Sketch etc.
Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proven experience on designing UX for financial services industry like Nuveen. Asset Management industry experience would be a plus.
Proficient in Agile methodology
