The Opportunity

ANDRITZ's Feed & Biofuel division has an exciting opportunity for an Automation & Digitalization Engineer to join a newly formed business unit that focuses on leveraging the power of automation and digital technologies to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

The preferred locations for this position is Alpharetta, GA, or Muncy, PA.

What You Will Be Doing

Here's an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

  • Execute and ensure on-time and complete technical delivery of automation and digitalization projects.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of automation-related technical specifications, drawings, and documents.
  • Configure and implement automation and digitalization projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide technical support to customers both onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects to determine their viability and potential ROI.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of Power, Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, and Digitalization systems onsite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and digitalization for customers.
  • Work effectively within a team, adhering to project management and technical leadership guidelines.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.
  • Analyze process data to determine causes of process variability and issues.
  • Identify opportunities and propose solutions to enhance deliveries.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Propose and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to automation and digitalization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate automation solutions with existing digital systems.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users on automated processes and digital tools. Knowledge transfer is essential to ensure the long-term success of these solutions.

What We're Looking For

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline; electrical, automation, or process control preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in automation and digitalization engineering.
  • Strong understanding of either Power, Electrical, Instrumentation, and/or Controls systems.
  • Registered as an EIT or PE an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of process industries, preferably in feed and/or biofuel.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automation.
  • Excellent teamwork and communications skills (English language).
  • Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (25-50%).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
