Your key responsibilities.

The SFS Discovery Lab as part of the newly established SFS Innovation Hub is looking for a Senior Data Scientist that will actively take part in shaping the digitalization and innovation journey of SFS.

As part of the central Strategic Development department, the Innovation Hub consists out of two exceptional teams ("Discovery Lab" and "Business Model Innovation"). Together, they are at the forefront of incubating new business models, exploring ground breaking technologies and representing the AI Center of Excellence within Siemens Financial Service.

• Within the SFS Discovery Lab you will lead and actively contribute to different AI use cases at an early maturity level

• You work closely with our partners to identify key business problems and translating their requirements into AI-driven solutions

• You will work on the whole data analytics journey including exploratory data analyses, data preparation, implementation of machine learning models and application of pretrained (Gen)AI model via API to extract valuable insights from structured and unstructured data

• You stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, spotting potential for innovation and differentiation in the financial market

• You support our SFS businesses and functions to understand how they can use (Gen)AI to tackle their challenges, e.g.with training offerings

Your toolkit for success.

• Degree or equivalent experience in statistics, data science, computer science, a related technical field or other significant work experience

• Bring experience as an AI consultant with a client-first approach, working closely with non-technical partners and translate their needs into AI-powered innovations

• Bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in ML solution development, preferably in financial sector or within consulting

• Profound experience in Python, using libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas or similar frameworks

• Experience with GenAI and LLMs is considered as a big plus

• Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g.: AzureML, Document Intelligence, ...) is helpful

• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes for deploying applications

• Standout colleague with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to handle diverse partners in an empathic manner

• Experience in project management desirable within an international environment
