The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Investment Portfolio Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Deal sourcing: Proactively develop relationships with peer investment funds, including corporate and private venture capital, investment banks, and other corporate industry insights partners to originate investment opportunities and source new deals
  • Deal due diligence and execution: Lead in-depth due diligence and analysis of new investment opportunities including financial, strategic, and market alignment considerations. Manage deal execution including deal structuring, terms, valuation, exit event analysis and evaluation. Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, tax/accounting, and regulatory through diligence and execution phase.
  • Deal champion: In partnership with division leadership, lead the development and presentation of deal pitch to Investment Committee, including Company C-level executives, inclusive of deal strategy, deal terms, financial valuation
  • Investment Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio companies, actively support company operating and financial initiatives, and serve as a Board Observer or Board Member as appropriate on behalf of Solventum.
  • Division Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between division and portfolio companies to drive revenue growth and strategic value for both companies; identify and surface innovation opportunities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Two (2) years investment experience in venture capital, growth equity, or corporate venture capital
  • Two (2) years with healthcare industry vertical either as investor, or working directly in health care, or health care technology setting
  • Strong financial acumen wi th the ability to develop robust and credible valuation models

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Advanced degree in business, finance, health care, o related scientific field
  • 5+ years investment experience in venture capital, growth equity, or corporate venture capital
  • 5+ years with healthcare industry vertical either as investor, or in health care, or health care technology setting
  • Direct experience in medtech industry - medical devices, advanced wound care, infection prevention
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven track record of influencing at high levels within the organization
  • Understanding of Solventum businesses, technologies, and corporate culture
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to meeting tight deadlines
  • Creative problem solving with the ability to work with diverse functional teams to evaluate and resolve complex issues
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Work location:

  • Hybrid work based out of SLC, UT or St. Paul, MN preferred.
  • Remote option for the right candidate may be considered

Travel: May include up to 30% domestic and international based on projects

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
