India, Bangalore office: TEXTRON India Private Limited provides engineering design support and IT support services to various business units of Textron. This work is backed by a business development team responsible for building business potential in the region and networking with the regulatory authorities and government agencies to promote interest in our businesses.

Job Title : Engineer 2, Technical Publications

- Plan the development of publications for new models in line with the production plan.

- Identifying the need for technical publications (Owner’s manuals, Operation Manual, Maintenance and Service Parts Manuals).

-Prepares 2D and 3D technical illustrations and parts lists utilizing engineering models, drawings, physical parts, previously prepared manuals, electronic parts lists, and other information.

- Creating publication development plan to drive various activities and adhere to the timelines with respect to the production plan.

- Establish the service procedure of the product to identify the critical areas and technology.

- Studying PLM drawings and specifications for publication creation and clarify technical queries from Engineering.

- Concept creation/Designing the layouts of manuals for better understanding of technology for customers.

- Manage the publication development activities to ensure the availability of the publication Material as per the timelines.

- Proofreading the publications (Corrections, Technical updates, Grammar check)

- Validating the newly developed publication materials for specification, content, standard operating procedures.

- Innovation & new technologies to be incorporated in Publications

- Taking initiatives for Digitization of Publications

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

1.Good understanding of engineering fundamentals

2.Must have comprehensive knowledge of personal computer systems with Microsoft Office, Adobe Products and PLM tools preferably Teamcenter

3.Ability to read and reliably interpret all technical manuals

4.Logical and creative approach

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES

1. Must have excellent oral, written and organizational skills

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Automobile/related branches with 3-5 years of technical publications experience.
