The candidate should be a seasoned SAP professional with a proven track record in SAP ECC landscape. Their expertise should extend to platform capabilities, architecture, project leadership, security, and compliance, ensuring the effective and optimal utilization of SAP systems to drive business success.

A Day in the Life

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the SAP landscape.

  • Provide expert level business process guidance on data archiving functionality within SAP.

  • Design,recommend and implement data archiving and access mechanisms and processes.

  • Assess the organization's data needs and requirements.

  • Perform requirements gathering, testing & deployment of SAP enabled archiving objects

  • Develop and implement archiving policies and procedures.

  • Manage and execute the archiving process, including data migration, storage, and retrieval.

  • Schedule archiving jobs, monitor job logs, prepare archiving statistics, monitor system performance and implement correction notes as applicable.

  • Monitor the archiving system for performance and compliance.

  • Data Retention Tool (DaRT) customization, testing, validation, and implementation.

  • Configure retention and audit policies based on legal requirements across countries with ILM systems.

  • Configure ILM technical configuration, retention warehouse, extraction methods, etc

  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure alignment on project goals, requirements, and timelines.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

· 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of experience with an advanced degree.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience working in SAP ECC data archiving and archiving for large customers.

· Proven experience leading or contributing to data archiving projects from planning to execution.

· Strong understanding of SAP tables and archiving objects.

· Experience using SAP archiving tools to archive data to Open Text.

· Strong understanding of data storage and retrieval methods.

· Ability to identify and preserve important data.

· Hands-on experience with DaRT customizations.

· Experience implementing Print List Archiving, Document Archiving and Archiving objects

· Experience/knowledge in SAP ILM, retention policy management, data destruction and retention reporting.

· Experience configuring retention and audit policies based on legal requirements across countries with ILM system.

· Experience with ILM technical configuration and extraction methods.

· Experience working across US and multiple time zones.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

· Previous medical device and/or work experience in a FDA regulated industry.

· SAP Certifications.
