Seeking experienced Landscape Maintenance Tech to maintain athletic fields on Nantucket.
Applicants must have experience in cutting commercial grass and have an active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicides. Ideal candidate will have golf course experience in using commercial mowers and spray equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
• Mix, prepare, and apply chemical solutions (e.g., insecticides, herbicides, fungicides) in order to control pests, weeds, or plant disease using a sprayer or spreader
• Run spray and application equipment, including rider spreader.
• Mow, aerate, top-dress, and sod/sprig/seed both new and existing turf
• Spread granular fertilizer and liquid spray applications
• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform turf maintenance duties
- Experience in turning on and off sprinkler systems and repair
Active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicides
A valid drivers license is required with a good driving record.
