Hyatt Executive Housekeeper in NAPA, California

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for all duties of the housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property. Responsibilities include staff training, inter-department communications, and staff scheduling. The Executive Housekeeper will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and colleague satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel’s Housekeeping Operations

  • Develop and recommend budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans

  • Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel colleagues

  • Ensure colleagues understand the importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests

  • Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals

  • Implement procedures to increase guest and colleague satisfaction

  • Maintain consistent Inspection Program

  • Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars

  • Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies

  • Current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology

  • Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance

  • Experience training, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff

  • Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed

  • Ensure Hotel is in full compliance of OSHA and ADA policies including Department of Health Regulations

  • Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests

  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

  • Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect Andaz service standards and procedures


  • Demonstrate ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years of progressive Hotel Rooms Management leadership experience (typically with Hyatt)

  • Solid Rooms operational details

  • Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven record of accomplishment in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to achieve financial, engagement and service goals

  • Experience with purchasing and inventories, comprehensive administrative skills, knowledge of inventory and controls

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills

  • Familiar with guest survey tracking and trends
