Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Superintendent to join their team in Florida. The Superintendent is responsible for managing the performance and scheduling of in-house and subcontractor teams. They will ensure timely completion of project tasks, with the goal of keeping their project on schedule and budget. Responsibilities also include maintaining safety, owner satisfaction, cost, schedule, and quality control.

Duties Include:

  • Coordinates subcontracts, drawings, and specifications related to wastewater treatment operations to ensure conformity with project requirements. Examine drawings and specifications for various wastewater treatment tasks, ensuring current information is passed down to front line supervision and trades personnel.

  • Carries out inspections and repairs as needed to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.

  • Responsible for daily planning, creation, and maintenance of project schedules, specifically for wastewater treatment operations, including subcontractor specialty schedules and short interval schedules.

  • Involved in creating detailed work plans within the wastewater treatment process, ensuring all tasks are organized and timeframes are met.

  • Supervises and organizes workers; ensures workers are available and fully qualified to perform assigned duties. Reports on labor and materials. Schedules crews according to available work packages for the project and all required equipment and materials necessary to complete tasks.

  • Oversee the timely delivery of materials to maintain productivity and prevent delays in wastewater treatment tasks.

  • Assists project management team ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to wastewater treatment of the city, state and federal government applicable to the project. Alerts management to any potential concerns.

  • Conduct routine condition assessments/maintenance specifically related to wastewater treatment infrastructure. Provide analysis of work needs based on condition assessments and contract performance requirements.

  • Coordination of permit and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, supporting water, wastewater, and/or process plant construction projects.

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Computer proficiency including, Project Management Software, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is a plus.
