Actalent Controls Designer in Nashville, Tennessee

Description:

This company is looking to build out their automation production lines in this facility to lower cost on their labor by 4 million by the end of the year. These automated lines will include PLCs (allen bradley & siemens), robotics (Fanuc), and Vision systems (cognex). This person will be responsible for working with the mechanical engineering designer to create these automated lines.

  • Electrical/control panel design using Solidworks Electrical

  • Single line and three-line Power distribution design

  • Component selection and design

  • Vendor alignment and project level communication, quoting and BOM development

  • Prepare project engineering documentation utilizing Asana project management

  • Site verification, installation, startup, and commissioning of provided services

Skills Details:

  • Autocad electrical

  • Electrical design

  • control system design

  • Panel layout

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

PLC control panel design experience; including I/O and control schematics, panel layouts, device sizing/specification, and BOM development

General design experience including VFDs, PLCs, Robotic arm implementation and associated safety systems, motor control, communications layouts, technical specifications review, design reviews, and cost estimating
