As an Inside Product Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional inside sales team, providing pre-sales technical support to build new business relationships and increase sales. This role is dedicated to providing pre-sales technical support of solutions, products and services that help customers with varying needs of complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the inside sales representatives service attach rates by researching historical trends and coaching to develop relationship focused sales.

  • Become a subject matter expert and administer trainings around our top services as well as drive the services portfolio ranging from warranty renewals and pro-support to business solutions services.

  • Respond to inbound customer calls as well as may include outbound customer calls to drive current penetration in acquisition, retention and development accounts to determine needs, overcome objections and provide solutions.

  • Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goals and meet customer needs; some involvement with the external field team to scope opportunities.

  • Effectively balance demands from multiple stakeholders as well as effectively balance short-term and long-term priorities.

  • Develop and implement account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.

  • Involved in contract negotiation and possess strong financial, business and pricing knowledge.

  • Manage a relationship with an After Point of Sale (APOS) Renewals Specialist to drive leads.

Essential Requirements:

  • 4-5 plus years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Strong knowledge of applicable Dell technology, products and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.

  • Effectively use software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written skills.

  • Demonstrate professionalism with peers, subordinates, superiors and customers.

  • Manage time and prioritize effectively; demonstrate an ability to cope with a complex and changing environment.

Desirable Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree, technical college or some college course work preferred.
