Job Summary and Qualifications

The Learning Solutions Manager leads the design, development, and delivery of performance-based learning solutions for HCA Healthcare’s clinical information systems and strategic clinical business initiatives. A key responsibility is directing a team of instructional designers, training instructors, course developers, and technical writers in assessing and analyzing project needs to ensure solutions focus on the needs of our customers.

The Clinical Training Manager promotes Learning Solutions as a key component of HCA Healthcare’s IT solutions, through relationships with IT executives, project management, and key business stakeholders. He/she is also responsible for working with Project Management to manage resource estimation and allocation throughout the project life cycle.

This Manager serves as a learning and performance support expert within ITG, as well as for the enterprise. This position also has a leadership role in identifying learning industry trends, as well as developing and overseeing the adherence to Moment of Need and Performance Support methodologies and processes.

The Clinical Training Manager must be strong leader with proven management skills, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Leading an environment that encourages information sharing, collaboration, and process improvement to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and service excellence is a given.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Responsibilities

  • Work with business and IT leaders to promote the inclusion of performance support as part of the overall IT solution.

  • Lead the analysis, design, development, and delivery of training solutions.

  • Manage learning resource allocations as part of the project management life cycle.

  • Analyze emerging learning methodologies to support the business trends, goals and strategies; and translate the opportunities into an effective technology vision and strategy

  • Develop and foster relationships with business sponsors

  • Effectively Manage and Administrate for a staff of Learning professionals

  • Participate on various committees and teams as necessary

3 or more years

  • Must have knowledge and experience in learning industry methodologies and solutions

  • Must have management experience

  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in dealing with peers and associates
