Position Summary

We are currently seeking a talented Manager, Project Management to join our Enterprise and Strategy Deployment team.

This position requires general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including:

  • Organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements

  • Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing

  • Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization)

  • Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget

  • May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects)

  • On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Partner in large project teams simultaneously in developing strategic plans support Bridgestone’s North Star and West Organizational

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Deals effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.

  • Leverages project management techniques and tools to deliver strategic objectives.

  • Moves easily between big- picture thinking and managing relevant detail.

  • Participates in strategic SDO planning and prioritization on behalf of the organization, aligning with the company’s strategy.

  • Provides senior leaders and project stakeholders with true operational insight through meaningful milestones and objectives reporting for critical strategic initiatives and communicates progress.

  • Navigates the complexities of diverse teams and engagements.

  • Prioritizes initiatives based on business needs.

  • Develops and maintains global, strategic relationships and alliances with other global leaders throughout organization as needed on cross-functional programs.

  • Collaborate with others to discover creative solutions to complex problems that may require unique approaches.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in uncovering innovative solutions to complex issues, employing creativity and unique strategies to tackle challenges.

  • Implements policy and strategy for short-term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.

  • Decision making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization.

  • Communicate with executive leadership, articulating strategic visions and project updates with clarity and impact.

  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Enhance the Project Management Offices ( PMO) Center of Excellence (COE) operations, including the refinement of tools, templates, and processes, and actively participate in the Smartsheet COE platform, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have Six+ years of experience in managing successful strategic business projects and programs. They should be able to demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, with multiple competing priorities. The role requires self-motivation, discipline, organization, and a high level of attention to detail.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Working knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies

  • M&A program experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools
