Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, direct hire opportunity for a Microbiology Medical Technologist in Nashville, TN!

Work Schedule: Tues.-Sat.: 11:30pm-8:00am

A Direct Hire Opportunity

Pay: $30-$35/hour DOE + $2 weekend differential + $4 shift differential

Job Summary:

The person in this position is a licensed Medical Technologist (MT) who is responsible for day to day specimen processing, analysis and results reporting. The person in this position performs the standard duties of a Medical Technologist with assistance of Medical Technologist III Lead.

Essential Functions:

• Receive and process specimens according to protocols.

• Update procedures for testing efficiency and accuracy.

• Assist in administrative tasks like supply ordering and inventory management.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and lab procedures.

• Produce accurate test results, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with supervisors.

• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot methods.

• Contribute to QA/QC programs and documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments and uphold corporate compliance and policies.

• Meet productivity expectations set by departmental guidelines.

Education & Licensure:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical lab science or medical technology.

• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.

• Maintain continuing education for certification and licensure.

Requirements:

• One year of related experience preferred.

• Students or recent graduates eligible for ASCP or AMT certification exams are encouraged to apply.
