Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

Must be able to work 10pm-6am shift and currently reside in the greater Nashville/Middle Tennessee area!

The Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) Specialist serves in a 24/7 centralized Physical Security Operations

Center for select HCA facilities and Corporate offices. The PSOC Specialist monitors all physical security systems and coordinates the actions/movements of designated response groups in the event of emergencies within monitored properties. This position also provides administrative functions, including the creation of internal documents (I.E. BOLOs, security reports, etc.), visitor management, and internal data tracking. The PSOC Specialist may also be called upon to provide remote assistance in disaster response/emergency response situations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Ability to function well in high stress situations.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow in potentially high stress situations

• Must provide excellent customer service.

• Must be proactive in the identification of security threats – includes active monitoring of HCA facilities and corporate offices, and the facilitation and direction of real-time security response as needed.

• Must possess the capability and professionalism to engage and interface with other HCA operational units during large scale events, such as disaster response.

• Must develop and employ detailed knowledge of HCA corporate security policies and procedures.

• Interface with contracted security staff to ensure HCA corporate security policies and procedures are being applied and followed.

• Creation of BOLOs and other internal documents on an as-needed basis.

• Must possess intermediate technical skills, including familiarity with Windows OS and various Microsoft-based systems (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

Education & Experience:

• High School Graduate/Equivalent Required

• Bachelor's degree Preferred

• Less than 1 year of experience in related field Required

• 3+ years of experience in 911 dispatch, first responder, security or military preferred.

• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

• Technical Training – Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

• Working knowledge of security, audio video, and integrated computer systems. Required

• Computer and networking proficiency required. Required

• Experience in management, operations, and maintenance preferred Required

• Knowledge of emergency management procedures and policies. Required

• Computer and MS Office proficiency required. Required

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills Required
