Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchasing Assistant position. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required for this Purchasing Assistant position. The ideal Purchasing Assistant will have a desire to advance their career and previous purchasing or procurement experience. How you will make an impact

• Suggest cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices

• Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs

• Assess supplier profiles and examine offers

• Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)

• Prepare and process purchase orders

• Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments

• Own relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts

• Assess and compare suppliers, goods, and services Requirements

• Strong documentation and organization skills

• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred

• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position

• Must have strong research skills and excellent analytical thinking

• Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs

• Quality negotiation and communication skills
