The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.
This position will be a member of the team responsible for providing enterprise 2nd tier support to over 30 executive branch agencies using multiple applications. The support areas are focused on enterprise server monitoring and log correlation, Windows server Operating System (OS) patching, enterprise OS and key 3rd party software patches for PCs, Enterprise administration of remote access solution, and assistance with deployment of software installation packages for enterprise customers. Additionally, the position will be responsible for ongoing support and operational maintenance of the enterprise environment under general guidance. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Requirements
