DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Social Services Aide, your role will involve supporting agency personnel, which encompasses casework and program staff, administrative and management teams, as well as support staff, in delivering essential services to children, youth, and families. Your responsibilities will include the organization and upkeep of medical and dental records, scheduling appointments, and providing transportation and escort services for clients to various medical, dental, and other necessary appointments. Additionally, you will facilitate transportation to and from foster homes, court hearings, and visitation sessions, while also supervising children during office visits and in home settings. It will be your duty to document contact notes and communicate clients' needs and progress to casework staff. Furthermore, your tasks may extend to performing routine clerical functions such as data entry, handling mail, filing documents, answering phone calls, and making copies, as well as coordinating the regular maintenance of County vehicles. You will also be expected to undertake related duties as necessary.

Graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience. Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
