Posting Summary
The Rutgers School of Nursing is seeking full time faculty qualified to teach clinical, laboratory, and simulation courses in our newly established Division of Simulation and Clinical Learning. In this role, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines, remain actively involved in professional organizations, maintain scholarship in their field, and actively seek opportunities for and participate in School of Nursing faculty governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Provide instruction in adherence with best practices and all relevant federal, state, and local and accrediting body rules and regulations in clinical skills laboratories, simulation labs, and other courses as assigned
o Participates in inter-professional education activities
o Prepare equipment, supplies, and physical set-up and breakdown for lab and simulation activities
o Collaborate with faculty and Office for Academic Success to implement targeted intervention strategies related to clinical learning to enhance student success in meeting program outcomes
o Assists Division staff in conducting and maintaining inventory of lab equipment and supplies
o Advises the Associate Dean for Simulation and Clinical Learning for equipment and supply needs
o Collaborates with faculty to create, revise, and update clinical learning and simulation activities to meet curriculum objectives and goals
o Adheres to standards of operation and best practices in the implementation of all clinical learning and simulation activities
o Maintains communication with faculty and students of assigned courses to promote collaborative and collegial working relationships
o Promotes a learning environment that is non-discriminatory and that provides equity for all students
o Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Simulation and Clinical Learning

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
o Doctoral Degree (PhD/DNP/EdD) required or in progress
o Working knowledge of the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice
o Experience teaching with simulation
o Experience teaching clinical skillsPreferred:
o Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
o Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE)
Preference will be provided to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations) and demonstrate active participation in community and/or professional organizations
Certifications/Licenses
o Current Licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in New Jersey
