Overview
The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Executive Aide - Driver for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). The position is responsible for providing professional, confidential transportation services and associated duties to senior university executives.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Assists with CSO and support services unit as needed including coordinating the proper assignment of duties to ensure that all transportation needs are met.
  • Uses GPS and other security and office technology to aid in planning routes, making deliveries, and preparation of weekly activity reports.
  • Communicates with senior university executives and their support staff and RUPD command personnel in execution of duties.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.

Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid driver's license and two years driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires extensive interactions with RUPD, University administrators, students and high level public and private officials. This is a highly confidential position due to the fact that very confidential and sensitive information is shared during business trips and during the course of assigned duties. Accordingly, there can be no tolerance for any breach of confidentiality for any person holding this position.
