The Sales Leader – North & East for Leica Biosystems is responsible for planning and executing sales strategies to grow sales and increase market share though effective promotion, demonstration and sales efforts by aggressively defending achieved market share. He/she must drive engagements with CEO/CXO level customers consistently & should drive sales team to do so.

This position is part of the Sales Function located in New Delhi and will be fully remote and be responsible for product sales activities for divisional products, including new product launches, competitive data gathering, VOC, creation of sales tools and monitoring of business results (product mix, volumes, prices, customer profitability). In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive sales for Leica Biosystems Cancer diagnostics products sales for North and East India region.

  • Knowledge Industry customer organization and purchasing process & sales methodology in capital equipment sales to public field i.e. Hospitals, Scientific Institutes, Educational Teaching (College, University), Regional laboratories, R&D Labs, Manufacturing & Processing Industries, NITs/IITs, Govt. Laboratories, etc.

  • Define the right product & price to sell in each market working closely with sales managers, trying to address the customer needs and leveraging the maximum profitability and market share for the company.

  • Cooperate to design specific bundled solutions among & within the different BUs and have the capability to choose the correct portfolio, building a clear strategy for the price & product positioning.

  • Provide information & analysis of price trends of the key products within the pathology Industry portfolio and competitive price information.

  • Manage & provide leadership for direct reportees.

  • Acquire and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the product lines and applications within the pathology Industry field.

  • Develop and maintain relationships of CEO/CXO customers through sales associates.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal, Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, Shared Services and Business Unit and direct key accounts.

  • Apply advanced marketing skills to develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements and purchase behavior. Monitor the evolution of pathology Industry market competition working closely with BU specialists and sales & service teams.

    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Minimum 8 - 10 years’ of sales experience in medical diagnostics or life science field

  • Agile and willing to travel 50% in a month.

  • Exposure to government tenders process will be added advantage

  • Whilst a science graduate/engineer, or equivalent, is nice to have, of equal value is a strong technical knowledge of the Pathology Market

  • Proven experience of handling/engaging of CEO/CXO customers

  • 3rd party/dealer pipeline management and sales focus

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Combination of IVD instrumentation and consumables business.

  • Selling tissue diagnostics products and its applications within the industry market segment.

  • Key account management experience.
