ICF Specialist - E-mobility & Clean Transportation in New Delhi, India

About the Team

Our South Asia team works with the Government, Private sector and international aid agencies, and other financing organizations (DFID, the EU, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, etc.) as implementing partners in technical cooperation and assistance bringing expertise that matters to achieve Sustainable Development Goals in the area of clean transportation, urban development, disaster and climate resilience, energy and clean energy transition.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Planning Professional with at least 6 years of practical experience in the electric mobility – clean transportation consulting industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dealing with consulting projects related to electric mobility, transportation planning, data analysis, and project management. The candidate will be a part of a growing team within ICF focusing on clean transportation-related projects.

Required experience :

  • Develop transportation plans to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Analyze transportation data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate project-related activities.

  • Evaluate transportation networks and recommend improvements to enhance performance.

  • Utilize transportation modeling software and tools to simulate and forecast transportation scenarios.

  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainability.

  • Lead transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in transportation planning.

  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, policies, and standards.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in contributing to business development-related activities (proposal/ CV/ budget preparation) would be required.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex transportation data.

  • Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, TRANSIMS, SYNCHRO). Knowledge of other software like ArcGIS is preferable.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, word, excel) is a must. Knowledge of other software like Photoshop, and data visualization through Power BI will be an added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning/ civil engineering/ architecture, or related field. A Master's degree in Transport planning/ engineering is essential.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation planning or related roles.
