Shipping Coordinator - New Kingston PA

Department: Warehouse

Location: New Kingstown, PA

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity to join our team in New Kingston, PA. This position is responsible for all product shipping to customers and internal transfers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage freight shipments, processing in timely and accurate manner.

  • Understand the logistics process and procedure.

  • Team player who is adaptable and organized with problem solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement.

  • Monitor age and status of open freight shipments and follow-up on issues as needed.

  • File and process paperwork in accordance with the established procedures.

  • Schedule trucks through systems such as SAP and TMS.

  • Verify and keep accurate records on outgoing shipments.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure timely shipments of all products and accurate tracking in operation system.

  • Assist with preparation of shipment including taking pictures, writing Bill of Lading/s (BOL) and other required documentation.

  • Assist freight carriers in tracking and shipment information.

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent organization and administrative skills.

  • Customer service skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.

  • Detail oriented and the ability to multitask.

  • Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar.

  • Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years shipping experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
