Shipping Coordinator - New Kingston PA

About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity to join our team in New Kingston, PA. This position is responsible for all product shipping to customers and internal transfers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage freight shipments, processing in timely and accurate manner.
Understand the logistics process and procedure.
Team player who is adaptable and organized with problem solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement.
Monitor age and status of open freight shipments and follow-up on issues as needed.
File and process paperwork in accordance with the established procedures.
Schedule trucks through systems such as SAP and TMS.
Verify and keep accurate records on outgoing shipments.
Work closely with other departments to ensure timely shipments of all products and accurate tracking in operation system.
Assist with preparation of shipment including taking pictures, writing Bill of Lading/s (BOL) and other required documentation.
Assist freight carriers in tracking and shipment information.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School or GED preferred.
Knowledge / training:
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organization and administrative skills.
Customer service skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.
Detail oriented and the ability to multitask.
Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar.
Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services.
Experience:
- 1-3 years shipping experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
