The Worldwide Retail Growth and Development team is responsible for the strategic planning, acquisition, design, construction, launch, and maintenance of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores' real estate assets. This includes Whole Foods Market, Amazon grocery stores, and industrial properties that fulfill online grocery orders.

WWRGD is looking for a manager with project management and design or construction experience to lead the Infrastructure Change Management team. This role oversees the Change Management team and owns strategic and tactical delivery of network expansion and updates across the WWRGD portfolio. This role owns a key function within the organization and is one of the key points of contact for the businesses WWRGD supports. The role will drive effective execution of change requests at a site and enterprise level. It will also work closely across a variety of stakeholder teams to scope and create plans, coordinate and drive execution, and assess timeline and financial impacts to the network.

Key job responsibilities

-Manage and drive continuous improvement of the change management intake and decision-making mechanism

-Own cross-team coordination, project/process management and executive presentation. Ensure alignment with business stakeholders and internal teams such as Design, Construction, Finance, and Capital Planning

-Critically assess change requests and ensure business justification, financial analysis, and timeline impacts are quantified. Identify appropriate stakeholders and approvers for change requests, and manage mechanisms to gain alignment

-Dive deep in understanding the product, our business and the competitive landscape

-Partner with other leaders to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery

-Own program communication, accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate

-Establish and drive to meet operational goals and metrics for the portfolio

-Own mechanisms to present operational metrics regularly to the leadership teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 2+ years of team management experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
