Description We are in search of a diligent Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in New York. This role is central to our financial operations, focusing on managing receivable accounts, processing payments, and interacting with other departments and companies to maintain seamless financial operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial health and requires someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate application of customer payments

• Posting sales and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner

• Collaborating with a factor company for sales order approvals, invoice submission, credit line management, and other related tasks

• Working closely with other departments to investigate and resolve discrepancies and chargebacks

• Accurately calculating sales commissions

• Handling Sales and Use Tax matters

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations

• Utilizing skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Applications, Commercial Collections, Factoring, and QuickBooks for daily tasks

• Managing chargebacks effectively to minimize financial loss. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of two years' experience in an Accounts Receivable Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in handling Chargebacks

• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Cash Applications is required

• Experience in Commercial Collections is essential

• Familiarity with Factoring is highly desirable

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• High degree of accuracy and ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
